The Alternatives to Religion archives project is an ongoing partnership to catalogue the archives of three key organisations, Conway Hall Ethical Society (formerly South Place Ethical Society), the National Secular Society and the British Humanist Association.  Collectively these records document a core strand of radical thought and action in the UK over the past two centuries and by bringing them together, the archive will provide easier access to these rich historical resources for professional researchers and the plain curious alike.

The project was made possible by a grant from the National Cataloguing Grants Programme for Archives.

Trunkman Productions was responsible for producing two showcase films, hosted by Robin Ince, to help promote the archive to a wider audience and bring some of its key artefacts to life.   These films can be accessed via the websites of each organisation involved and via the Ethical Record monthly journal.
